Tracy Kadungure originally came from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Southern Africa. For the first eight years of her education, she attended Lobengula Primary School. She was sent to Highfield's Secondary school in Harare to learn Shona, her mother language. She later went back to Bulawayo's Hope Fountain Mission where she gained a teaching certificate.
During her teaching years, she spent a great deal of time telling stories to the children and it was that which made her realise that she had a passion for storytelling and dreamed about writing stories that people might love to read.
Tracy immigrated to the UK in 1975 and worked in Social Care. When she retired in 2007 it prompted her to put pen to paper and Tanaka Chronicles, the first of a trilogy came into being. It's a novel that has an African Erotic theme to it.
The novel is about a young, beautiful and voluptuous African teenager who had never been kissed until she met Fungai who became her first lover. But when Fungai left her virtually at the alter without any explanation, the experience had a profound effect on her. It left her lost and confused. It changed her whole perception about sex and fidelity.
After she arrived in UK, she was seduced by a man who wanted her for himself and his wife. The encounter changed the whole perspective about physical sex and it was this experience which changed her outlook in regards to sex. She loved it even more and wanted more of it and sort out her thrills wherever she could find them.
The orientation within the sexual element of the story encompasses heterosexual, gay and lesbian sex.
The characters are real and human with lives and established moods. Emotional honesty, lust, desire, longing, passion and sexual prowess is to be found in Tanaka and her sex buddies.
The novel is a well written story presented with explicit sex acts which is fundamental to the plot and characters and complement the calibre of writing.
The author blends in sexual obsession, suspense, mystery, and fantasy. She uses language laced with explicit sexual imagery and charged with sexual tension and a vast range of different types of sex and sexual encounters which are detailed and realistic.
All the stories within are about sensualist and pleasure seekers devoted to the excessive sensual pleasures.
The difference between reality and fantasy is difficult to define, but I hope the reader will enjoy using their own imagination. So please enjoy the first edition of Tanaka Chronicles.
Look out for the second and third novels coming out in the following months.
